From Sydney

Via the coast: Join the F6 Freeway south of Sydney.  This road later becomes the Princes Highway.  Follow road signs to Nowra.  This route will take you down the coast past Kiama.  Go through the scenic town of Berry, turn right onto the Kangaroo Valley Tourist Road, follow this to the end, and then turn right follow road into Kangaroo Valley.

Total drive time approx 2 -2.5 hours

Route 2 from Sydney:

Via the Southern Highlands.  Join the M5 motorway in Sydney.  This road becomes the Hume Highway south of Sydney.  Take the Mittagong exit off the Hume and follow the main road through Mittagong and than Bowral.  Following the signs to Nowra by turning onto Kangaloon Road.  This will become Sheepwash road, follow this road.  At the intersection with the Illawarra highway, go straight through, heading for Fitzroy Falls.  When the road comes to a ‘T” intersection turn left, then follow the road through to Fitzroy Falls and down the windy road to Kangaroo Valley.

From Canberra

Follow the Federal Highway out onto the Hume Highway, go past Goulburn.  Take the Illawarra highway exit and follow this road to Moss Vale.  Drive into Moss Vale and at roundabout turn right and get back onto the illawarra highway.  After about 3km you need to take the brown (Tourist Route) sign and the right turnoff to Nowra.  Soon after you will come to a “T” intersection, turn left and follow this to Fitzroy Falls and eventually to Kangaroo Valley.
